New York Fashion Week - First Day.

I still can't believe now I'm in New York! To be in New York Fashion Week has never crossed my mind when months ago the double Christinas, my blogger fellas from New York came to Jakarta and asked me when I could come and visit New York someday (I guess that taught me to learn to say Amen instead of 'Impossible'.) So here I am now, experiencing my first ever New York Fashion Week, and report it exclusively for and Tres Emme :) to be honest this is FAR than what I expected earlier. The vibe, the experience, the crowds, huge amount of pretty people on the street, it's all beyond my expectation. I always enjoy getting lost in a new places, and New York is different. I've seen a lot of the scenery from my favorite movies and TV series, but the excitement is still on even after a tiring 25 hours of flight.

So, how's New York? I'd like to have some mythbuster moments with myself. The traffic is not that bad... at least on my first one and a half day here. There wasn't so many cars here even on the main roads, so it's surprisingly easy to cross the streets anytime :p Another good news is I didn't have to deal with jet lag (it's 12 hours time difference between New York and Jakarta, so if you're living 12 hours apart and you want to catch up with our updates especially on twitter and instagram, you'd better stay up all night! :D)

And people here are surprisingly nice! I often picture New York as a super busy city, but actually it's a very warm neighborhood around the apartment where we're staying. We can easily spot people walking their cute dogs anytime, and a woman who was in the middle of her jogging time, offered me and Anas to help us take picture for our blog photos in front of our apartment :) Isn't that just lovely? Even outside the fashion week venue, there were people around us kindly asking where did I get the shoes, clothes, or just simply stopping by just to say the outfit we're wearing is so nice. That is so sweet! :)

my new bodysuit with super awesome details from Bebaroque, thanks a lot! :)

Lovely pair of Jeffrey Campbell Park Ave shoes from ROCOCO!

Planning to launch a mini collection of The Riotous Belle, out anytime soon! :)

Our team from, me with Kak Andien, Kak Dien Tirto Buono, Anastasia Siantar & Cindy Karmoko, the winner of the competition! :) This is the first show we watched, BCBG Max Azria.

Neat Spring-Summer collection with a dash of quirkiness :) Love the white leather snakeskin skirt! We bumped into BryanBoy, Aimee Song, Heidi Klum, Olivia Palermo, Giuliana Rancic and Kelly Osbourne too! Now it's time to hunt for eye-kaching stuff outside the Lincoln Center! :)

Belongs to Rachel Lynch. She's so cute in real life! :)

Bobby Raffin and the gang! :)

Stepping outside the venue, we walked to Soho and met this famous vintage store in NYC (Rachel Zoe's favorite) selling pure vintage branded items in good quality, What Goes Around Comes Around

Had lunch at Taka Taka. What's better than Japanese & Mexican food? A fusion! :)

And we spent the rest of the day looking at the eye-pampering view of boutiques and vintage stores around Soho - Broadway.

 They're selling movie scripts! :)

Tiny cupcake store along the road with super cute description.

We maka a video everyday as a diary for our whole New York trip! Check it out :)

This is only the first day of me in New York. I still have 6 days to go to explore this wonderful city and of course, fashion week! Follow my updates on this blog, or my twitter and instagram, and check out everyday because we're updating live reports exclusively from New York Fashion Week! :D
